Every year our school’s STRIVE organization, along with Lincoln Middle School’s own STRIVE, holds their annual award ceremony. This allows teachers to honor students that have shown academic excellence or have improved throughout the school year. The ceremony was on Tuesday, May 29.

Mariana Dominguez and Ms. Jose show off Mariana’s book scholarship.

STRIVE is run by Passaic High Schools own Ms. Jose, and Lincoln Middle School’s Ms. Washington. The club encourages students to persistently aim for academic excellence and improve their performance in school. Although it was the eighth Annual STRIVE Awards, it was bittersweet due to it being the last award ceremony for the Lincoln Middle School.

Ms. Tina Bustamante, graduate of PHS’s class of 2002, shared words of wisdom about her journey to success.
Senior student Madeline Dominguez, a dedicated STRIVE member throughout her time at PHS, received STRIVE’s book scholarship. This prestigious award is a representation of all the qualities a student must embody.

After the ceremony, delicious refreshments were provided to honorees, their teachers, and their families. It was an unforgettable night, to see the honorees accept their awards, and be acknowledged for the fantastic work they have done.
